Chon-chan

"Chon-chan" is a manga style kamishibai. Among the kamishibai of the Shiozaki Nostalgic Kamishibai Museum it has been produced over the longest period of time.

It has been created for 25 years from 1950 to 1975 (Showa 25 to 50) by four generations of painters. The illustrators are Komahei HIGASHIYAMA, Soichiro YOSHIMOTO, Ato FUJIKAWA and NAKAZONO (from Keiichi HATANAKAs "Vilanji")

The daily life of the main character, a boy named "Chon-chan", is depicted in a funny way in form of a one-episode-kamishibai. This work is still popular among children.
